1. What is MobileRated.com?

MobileRated.com is your #1 source for free mobile phone games. From this site, you can browse or search for the games you want and either download them to your PC or directly to your phone.

2. Why are they free?

Our partners offer their games for free for a number of reasons. Often they want as much as exposure for their product as they can get - they may make money through ads, or through upgrades.

3. How do I know what I'm getting?

On MobileRated.com, each game clearly identifies if the game has advertisements, is a demo/trial or otherwise entices you to 'upgrade', or is totally free.

4. How do I download games to my mobile phone?

You can download games from this website to your PC and then to your mobile phone using BlueTooth or a data cable. You can also browse our mobile website via your phone at mobilerated.com/wap and download the games directly to your mobile phone. 5. Will I incur download charges to receive my content?

Content can be downloaded "over the air" (OTA) directly to your mobile phone or to your PC. Your phone company (carrier) may charge you for data usage when doing OTA downloads to your phone, according to the company and your subscriber plan. Downloads to a PC will avoid those charges but you'll need someway to load the games to your phone from the PC (cables, Bluetooth, etc.)

6. Which games will work on my phone?

Most products are designed to work on a variety of phones but you need to run the right version - the version designed specifically for your phone. When you set your mobile phone (the set mobile link at the top of the page) you ensure that the products you view will work on your phone.

7. I'm not sure which phone model I own!

This is more normal than you think! Normally, once you've bought a phone, you don't care about its model name. But since games and other products are specifically built for your phone, you need to know to make sure you are getting the right version. Your phone can usually tell you. Here are some common ways:

• Go to mobilerated.com/wap on your phone and select "help" - we'll tell you what your phone is!
• Check your phone's menus for information about your phone.
• Sometimes the start-up screens shown during power-up will tell you.
• Try removing the battery - the model is often noted underneath.
• Call your carrier from your mobile phone - they can tell you which phone you have purchased.

8. I know my phone model but it isn't listed on your site!

We try to list every handset but the mobile manufacturers are constantly coming out with new phones and it is hard to keep us. If your phone isn't listed, post a message to the new device requests forum and we will add it. This is your site - help us keep it up to date.

Certain (very few!) phone operators, like Verizon, do not support J2ME games. We do not currently have any free mobile games for Verizon customers. Sorry!

Alternatively, if you have a very old phone, it may not support J2ME games. There is nothing we can do about that but suggest you upgrade your phone so you too can enjoy free mobile games.

9. I downloaded a game and I found a problem with it!

There are hundreds of handsets, many with multiple firmware revisions, and our games are available in a variety of languages and configurations. Our products are reviewed and verified before being made available to consumers. Production quality is extremely important to us. However, sometimes mistakes do happen, and when they do, we want to fix them! Please let us know about any problems and we will be happy to investigate, resolve and remedy the problem, and make sure you remain a satisfied customer. Our success depends upon you!
